Dr. Kim Edwards

Clinical and Health Psychologist

Dr. Edwards is the founder of MindFit and a registered clinical and health psychologist in the province of Ontario and State of New York.

Training/Work Experience: Dr. Edwards has worked and trained in a variety of settings including the Hospital for Sick Children, McMaster Children’s Hospital, Thames Valley District School Board, and London Health Sciences Centre – Adult Mental Health Care Program.

Dr. Edwards is one of only two Canadian Psychologists who provides trainings for health care professionals in the Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics (CBIT).

Presenting Concerns: Dr. Edwards has significant experience with complex cases and sees children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting concerns including:

  • anxiety
  • attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRB)
  • chronic pain and somatic symptoms (e.g., headaches)
  • depression
  • difficulties coping with stress
  • emotion-regulation challenges
  • excoriation disorder (skin picking or dermatillomania)
  • low mood
  • OCD
  • trichotillomania (hair pulling)
  • tic disorders / Tourette syndrome

Approach: Dr. Edwards takes an evidence- and strengths-based, non-judgemental, structured, and compassionate approach to helping members at the MindFit “gym” get/stay in good mental and emotional shape.

Outside of MindFit: Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young children, and travelling, running, and trying new restaurants.
